Steve Burgess, Green Councillor for Southside / Newington Ward

Dr. Steve Burgess is the Green Councillor in Southside/Newington. (Southside/Newington ward also includes the neighbourhoods of Blackford, Dumbiedykes, the Grange, Mayfield, Prestonfield and Sciennes.)

Steve was born in Edinburgh and has lived here most of his life. He went to school in Edinburgh and attended Edinburgh University where he studied Biological Sciences, later returning as a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for HIV Research at King’s Buildings.
