Scottish Parliament
Alison Johnstone was elected as Green MSP for Lothian on 5 May 2011. Alison is Edinburgh born and bred and lives in the south-west of the city with her husband and young daughter. A former East of Scotland 800 metres and 1500 metres title holder, Alison still runs for fitness and has witnessed the gradual and ongoing loss of accessible green space for residents and the apparent obsession with organised and elite sport that excludes many.
