The big focus over the last month or so was the annual council budget with the Greens putting forward a wide-ranging package of capital and revenue proposal. In the event our proposals were the only ones accepted by the Administration.
In other news, there was a continuing battle with the Council to get residents’ views heard, Melanie Main joined calls to protect existing greenspace after proposals for new nurseries in the grounds of existing primary schools, and Chas Booth said that Leith should share in the gains from the trams, as it had shared in the pains of the tramworks.
