Canvassing in Tollcross

Come along to a canvassing session in City Centre to our highest priority areas, with Lorna Slater MSP.

This is another warm-up for the 2026 Holyrood election campaign. We are keen for canvassers of all experience levels to join in, from throughout the branch.

We will pair new or inexperienced canvassers with more experienced partners. It is fine to just be the person observing and taking notes.

We will meet at The Cameo cinema’s café bar at 11:00 am, for pairing up and briefing. We will aiming to start canvassing by 11:30.

We will reconvene for a chat afterwards at Loudons in Fountainbridge around 13:00.

Accessibility

Canvassing involves climbing stairs in tenement flats.

The Cameo café  is wheelchair accessible via the Lochrin Place entrance. There is a fully accessible toilet opposite Screen 1 but this involves exiting the building and re-entering via the main entrance on Home Street.

Loudons is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets.
