Insects are a crucial component of healthy ecosystems. As a result of pesticide use, habitat loss, climate change and other human activities, their numbers have been dwindling at an alarming rate, threatening the existence of plants, other animals and even humanity.
Is there a way we can halt or reverse their decline just by being active in our own city?
Join us to hear from Alice Kenny (Butterfly Conservation), Alexandra Hoadley (Greenspace Development Officer, City of Edinburgh Council) and our very own Ben Parker (Green councillor for Morningside, holding the Climate and Environment portfolio for the Green Group) about urban nature networks – green highways for insects and other wildlife – and how we can individually help create them.
This meeting will be online – look out for details of how to join in your monthly member e-news and reminder email.
If you need any accessibility information, or have any ideas about any aspect of access or inclusion improvements that we can make at our events, please tell us.
