Edinburgh Branch Meeting: Making the most of conference

Autumn Conference is a really important point in the year for the Scottish Greens.

This is the place where members decide on party policy and how we operate, but it’s also the place to hear about Green achievements, discuss current issues, learn more about the work of like-minded organisations and meet other members from all across Scotland.

This year, conference will be held at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock on the 26th and 27th October 2024. We’d love to see more members taking part – either in person or online. This branch meeting will help members get to grips with why conference is important, how it works and how they can take part.

We’ll also be hearing from Policy Committee about how the party creates and approves policy, and creating space for members to discuss and learn about motions we’ll be voting on this year.

You can read the proposed motions in the First Agenda – we plan to discuss four motions on Thursday:

• Peace with Nature
• Make Companies and Directors Liable
• Justice
• Animals in Science
