It’s traditionally the time of year for harvesting produce and turning some of it into jams, chutneys and homebrew to store over the winter.
At our harvest-themed branch meeting we’ll be celebrating the fact that even here in the city there are lots of opportunities for people to join in food growing through community gardens and projects – join us to hear from them about how you can get involved.
We’re also encouraging everyone who grows, bakes, brews or preserves to bring along some produce for swapping – this could be fruit and veg, jams and chutneys, flowers, houseplants or seeds.
Your contributions for the home-baking stall are also welcome and teas and coffees will be available. If you don’t have any produce to share you can join in with a donation.
This event is taking place at Augustine United Church. You can find information about the venue accessibility here.
If you need any more information, or have any ideas about any aspect of access or inclusion improvements that we can make at our events, please tell us.
