Edinburgh’s Local Housing Strategy

A phase 3 consultation is underway on our city’s housing strategy, following an initial survey of residents and series of workshops.

This strategy will be central to the council’s approach to ensure 10,000s more affordable homes can be made available over the coming decades. As stated in the introduction, there are 290 bids for every social rent advertised, and we have over 5,000 households currently living in temporary accommodation.
