We were a small but select group of three for this first Women’s Network bike ride. Two cyclists and an inline skater travelled from Canonmills to Cramond along the cycle paths – a distance of just over 6 miles. We went through Goldenacre, then along the old railway line to Ferry Road and down towards the sea at Granton. We enjoyed the shared walking/biking path along to Cramond where, as usual, we felt the need to support the local small businesses by having coffee and scones. It was our civic duty, no less. We returned by the more challenging route through Granton Square which is less bike-friendly but nice just the same.
It was a nice biking day and we enjoyed our leisurely outing. We will offer the same ride on Sunday 21st February, again starting at 11.00 at Tesco’s car park at Canonmills, though we expect the weather to be less pleasant.
All Women’s Network members and female family and friends are welcome. Children are welcome too and our route and pace will be adjusted for the abilities of the group.
