South East Edinburgh Greens (SEEG) are campaigning to transform the redundant stretch of dual carriageway that dominates Holyrood Park Road.
Originally built in the 1970s to link into a motorway which would have bulldozed its way around central Edinburgh (had it not been stopped) this runs alongside the Commie Pool and Pollock Halls into Holyrood Park. SEEG believe it’s time to take out two of the four traffic lanes and create a tree-lined avenue with space for socialising, play and relaxed active travel.
SEEG will be having a stall on Holyrood Park Road, near the corner next to the former Scottish Widows building, to canvass views on our ideas, and collect new ones, from people passing by.
