Donate to Chas Booth’s Council Campaign

A personal message from Chas Booth, Green candidate for Leith Ward.

“The elections this year have been a long time coming.  I live in Leith with my wife and daughter and I am committed to the area: for example, in the campaign to keep Leith Waterworld open and in securing tens of thousands of pounds for Scotland’s first urban community-owned wind turbine.

“I am standing because I am passionate about the area and about the community here.  As a councillor I can do so much more, with local people, to continue to improve what we have here.

“But, as a Green candidate, I am competing with big political machines. They have ranks of press officers and funding from wealthy individuals or big organisations.  I am lucky to have a great team of helpers and volunteers working with me and I believe I can compete by using every penny I have efficiently.  And that is why I am launching my own appeal to raise £400 towards the £1,200 or so that I estimate my team will spend in the area – ensuring that we are able to get our message out to every household.

Please do consider supporting my campaign.  You can donate by sending a cheque to “Edinburgh Green Party” to me at 16 Hawthornbank Place, Edinburgh EH6 4HG or donate online.  If you are donating online please also email me at leith@edinburghgreens.org.uk so that I can add you below and make sure it is allocated to this specific area:
