How you can help the campaign

Getting Involved

There are a lot of ways to get involved with our Election 2017 campaign.  If you think you can help then contact us at  Some of our main activities that we’re always looking for help with are below.  If you want to see what we’re up to in the immediate future then head over to our ‘Upcoming Campaign Events’ page.

The mainstay of political campaigning is getting our leaflets and newsletters through people’s doors.  This allows us to reach large numbers of people quickly with quality content straight from the horse’s mouth.

If you’d like to help with leafleting and aren’t already doing so via a local team or branch, get in touch with Chris at, letting her know the area you live in and how much time you’d be willing to devote.

Canvassing is the absolute best way you can help us win votes. Nothing compares to the personal touch when it comes to changing someone’s mind. If you’re new to canvassing don’t worry! Just let us know and we’ll pair you up with an experienced canvasser.

If you have any questions or want to get involved you can contact our canvassing organiser, Rob, at

From now until the election there will be stalls held across the region.  These are a great way to get involved in the campaign for new and experienced campaigners alike.

If you’d like to find out about stalls in your area, or set one up yourself, contact Chris at

YoungGreensYoung Greens

If you’re under 31 or a student of any age then you’re a Young Green!

The Young Greens organise independently to bring events, protests, discussions socials to Edinburgh. There’s never a dull moment and they’re a great way to get involved in all of the other things listed here, as well as much more!

You can get in touch with Edinburgh Young Greens at

Hustings are a regular event in the run-up to elections and we’ll be at nearly all of them, and we’re always looking for people to support our candidates as they attend.  You can see what’s coming up on our calendar.

If you’re interested in meeting up with other Greens at a husting or want to help out with some of the work involved get in touch with Chris, at

Helping us build our campaign can be as simple as retweeting our Tweets or sharing our Facebook posts from the following accounts:

Edinburgh Greens Facebook

Each of our candidates also has a Twitter, and many have a Facebook campaign page. You can find the details here.

If you’d like to show your support with an online poster, you can add our Twibbon to your Twitter and Facebook profiles.

If you want to help out beyond this you can get in touch with Gordon at  Perhaps you want to design some graphics, want to help out with the campaign’s social media work, or want to write something for our the website.  Whatever you feel you can help with, let us know!
