Description
An invitation to someone who is curious about allotments – come and visit our allotment! We will answer your questions and give you a tour, as well as help you to pick and dig a box of vegetables (with soft fruit in the summer) for yourself.
We have been running an allotment for 31 years at Warriston. We are still not experts but enjoy veg talk!
There is plenty of veg to be had winter, summer and autumn – just not so much in spring. You choose what season to visit us.
Kindly donated by Joan and Stephen Carter
Last year’s winning bidder says:
We had a brilliant late September Sunday morning trip to Joan and Stephen’s beautiful, ever-evolving allotment, and got potatoes, curly kale, leeks, French beans, all sorts of peppery salad leaves (including rocket, sorrel and horse radish), nasturtium and blackberries. More than a veg box worth!
