Sweden – Lessons for a Greener Scotland
When drawing on other countries there are few better to give as an example than Sweden. While maintaining high levels of equality Sweden has been able to deliver promises like replacing fossil fuels by 2020, houses that don’t require heating and a congestion charge in Stockholm. Swedes also have longer life expectancy than Scottish people, radically lower levels of poverty and have been some of the most generous international aid donors.
This month we’ll be hearing from two experts on Sweden from the University of Edinburgh’s Scandinavian Studies department. Dominic Hinde and Guy Puzey will be giving an insight into how we’ll be able to learn from Sweden.
