Councillor’s Report For May

It’s been a busy month for our Green councillors, which also marked one year since the expanded group was elected to serve on the Council.

In their report, Nigel Bagshaw sees worrying parallels between the Water of Leith Flood Prevention Works and the trams fiasco, Maggie Chapman is looking ahead to what should be an interesting discussion at the Petitions Committee on religious observance in schools and Gavin Corbett will be hosting a meeting of experts looking at the potential for district heating at the old brewery site in Fountainbridge.

And which councillor has discovered 700 metres of alcohol shelving already in the area where a supermarket has applied for a new alcohol licence?
