Councillors Report For October

Edinburgh’s Green Councillors have released their report to members on their activities this past month.

Despite the Council being in recess for part of October, the Councillors were still busy highlighting problems for cyclists with the new tram lines, calling for East Coast railways to remain in public hands, and pressing for a Council-owned Energy Company which could invest in renewables and provide the city with an income.

The Councillors also highlighted concerns about the centralisation of policing in Edinburgh, and proposed that the Council redesignate bedrooms in the face of the Bedroom Tax. Sadly, the SNP-Labour Coalition refused to even look at the proposal.
