This month, we’ll be looking ahead to the European Elections in 2014. This is the Scottish Greens’ best ever chance of electing a member of the European Parliament. The lead candidate chosen by the party is Edinburgh Councillor Maggie Chapman, and Leith Councillor Chas Booth is second on the list. The meeting will focus on how we can win a seat in Europe and what the opportunities are if we do.
Maggie and Chas will be talking about the campaign, how you can get involved and what we can achieve together.
Please also note that prior to the meeting we will be selecting a candidate for the Liberton/Gilmerton by-election. That will be from 7pm (all members welcome), with the normal branch meeting beginning at 7.30pm. As always, we’ll be meeting in the Quaker Meeting House, Victoria Terrace (above Victoria Street). And join us afterwards for a more informal get-together in the Castle Arms (also Victoria Terrace) from 9.30pm.
