The next branch meeting will be about the Right for Employees to Cooperate by buying out the businesses they work for and on Free Public Transport. Both were issues discussed at the last Green Party conference, where members asked for more consideration to be given to them.
We’ll be hearing from experts on both issues, including Dr Juliette Summers of the university of Stirling, and there’ll be an opportunity to discuss the motions that were discussed last year for possible changes.
As always, the branch meeting will be 7.30-9.30pm, at the Quaker Meeting House, Victoria Terrace (above Victoria Street), on Thursday 27th March. We also retire to the pub afterwards for less formal chat, if you wish to join us there – Castle Arms, also on Victoria Terrace.
NEW MEMBERS: If you’re new to Edinburgh Greens or haven’t joined us at a branch meeting before, then you’re welcome to come along early and meet some members of the committee. Feel free to ask questions on what to expect, how you can help the party, and who does what in the branch. We’ll be there from 7pm so come and say hi!
