Chas Booth was elected as the Green Councillor for Leith on Edinburgh Council in May 2012, and was re-elected in May 2017. Chas lives in Leith with his wife and two young children.
Prior to his election in May 2012, Chas was a fuel poverty campaigner with a small trade association in Leith. He was a member of the Scottish Government’s fuel poverty forum advising on policy and implementation.
He has also campaigned for Friends of the Earth Scotland, managed the Edinburgh office of sustainable transport charity Sustrans, worked for the Green Party in the Scottish and European Parliaments, and taught English in Bavaria and Bosnia.
