Meet the Scottish Green Party Co-leaders
and Welcome the Climate Strikers

A public meeting, open to all. Children welcome.
Doors open 7pm.


SPEAKERS

A chance to hear from and ask questions of Scottish Greens Co-leaders Patrick Harvie MSP and Lorna Slater.

We are also delighted to welcome Youth Climate Strikers from Edinburgh, who have been so effective at leading demands for climate action.

Accessibility:

  • The main entrance to the building is up four steps with a handrail. Step-free access is available via a door to the right of the building (please ring the bell for attention). A disabled toilet is available at this level.
  • The venue has a hearing loop which can be used during the meeting (please request at the registration desk).

Workshop for Edinburgh activists, teams and rep groups

  • Getting Green politics out on the streets
  • How you can get involved in building the Green movement
  • Workshop to share experiences, expertise and resources
  • Develop your skills in fundraising and planning. 

Practical ideas about how you and your local team can organise events and raise funds to build the Green Party, including planning for canvassing, social events and meetings.

Come along and meet other Green activists. Take positive action in politics and support other people. 

This is a free event but booking is required: register on eventbrite here.

Accessibility: Ramp access to the building. Lift access to the third floor room. There is an Induction Loop in the room.

Monthly team meeting of the Leith and Leith Walk sub-branch.

We meet in the Persevere room of the Leith Community Centre. Access from Newkirkgate precinct via outside stairs, or via lift.

All members welcome. If you haven’t been to a meeting before and would like to touch base first, email our membership secretary Kevin Whitelaw: leith.leithwalk@scottishgreens.org.uk – say hello and ask any questions.

Accessibility: The meeting venue can be accessed via a lift from the Newkirkgate precinct (note, there is a longish walkway from the level 1 lift exit to the community centre door); alternatively, via the car park ramp to the rear of the building.
