We’ll make it a fun social activity. Quality chat with other Greens while we prep the boards; tea, coffee & biscuits provided. If you can come, please drop us a line: volunteers.edin@scottishfgreens.org.uk or just turn up.

When: Sunday 8th December – 9.30 for 10am start.

Planning for a Greener City @ Augustine United Church
Feb 22 @ 13:30 – 16:45

City Centre Greens are hosting “Planning for a Greener City”. This is a public event, and all are welcome.

Edinburgh Council are consulting on their ideas for the next Local Development Plan for Edinburgh – ‘City Plan 2030’. Come along to discuss the main issues report and the opportunities it presents from a green perspective.

This is your chance to discuss with others the Council’s consultation report and consider how the City Plan 2030 could help make Edinburgh a greener city. This early stage is the best chance to get involved. There will be a chance to submit your own comments to the Council’s consultation and come up with new ideas that will help inform our Green Councillors’ work, with a particular focus on the City Centre.

The event will run from 1.30pm to 4.45pm, with an introduction, discussion groups 2pm to 3.45pm and informal discussion for the last hour. Feel free to drop in for part of the time if you can’t make it all.

Accessibility:

  • The main entrance to the building is up four steps with a handrail. Step-free access is available via a door to the right of the building (please ring the bell for attention). A disabled toilet is available at this level.
  • The venue has a hearing loop which can be used during the meeting (please request at the registration desk).
  • If you require any communication support which would make the event more accessible for you, please contact us in advance: comms.edin@scottishgreens.org.uk.
