Greens in Edinburgh have announced their candidate, Lorna Slater, for the Leith Walk council by-election on 11 April, saying that voters face a straight choice between a Green councillor who will stand up for the area versus SNP/Labour candidates who will be forced to toe the council line. Canvassing sessions will be running in the mornings of Sat 23 and Sun 24 March:
- Sat 23 March: meet at 10.30 am outside 25 Montgomery St., EH7 5JU
- Sun 24 March: meeting 11.00 am outside 25 Montgomery St., EH7 5JU
Don’t worry if you haven’t been canvassing before – we can pair you up with a more experienced canvasser to show you the ropes. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about canvassing.
Street stall and leaflet deliveries: There’ll be a street stall on Sat 23 March, 1pm – 3pm, opp. Elm Row (corner of Leith Walk / Annandale St). Come along to help staff the stall, hand out leaflets and chat to locals, or just call by to say hello. You can also collect candidate leaflets and a route for delivery from the stall.
