Jule Bandel was elected as a councillor for the Inverleith ward in the 2022 Council Elections. She holds the Equalities portfolio for the Edinburgh Green councillors.
Originally from Germany, Jule has lived in Edinburgh since 2016. She works for a housing charity and is part of a team supporting public and stakeholder engagement around local food policy in Edinburgh.
After years of grassroots campaigning, she is keen to take the fight for more climate action to the city chambers. Within Inverleith, Jule has been a strong voice for better greenspaces, transport, housing, and meaningful public participation.
